Welcome to the National Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education (Vocational Tutor/Lecturer or Workplace Trainer).
This qualification is made up of two modules with two unit standards 21204 and 7097. They add up to the 40 credits required for the National Certificate.
Module 1 (semester 1) focuses on Maori literacies, background to literacy, frameworks, strategies, course demands and diagnostic assessments of your learners' needs. This module is assessed by elements 1-4 of Unit Standard 21204.
Module 2 (semester 2) focuses on lesson planning for literacy and numeracy interventions, lesson observation, assessment of learner progress, reflection and evaluation. It is assessed by elements 5-7 of Unit Standard 21204 and by Unit Standard 7097.
