The Diploma in English (Advanced) is a NZQA accredited level 5 programme which aims to develop your English language skills for further study, employment or participation in the New Zealand community. The Diploma is the recognised pathway for EAL students into Unitec mainstream programmes.
The Diploma is made up of three levels which take students from IELTS level 5 to level 6.5 over three semesters.
Students can exit the Diploma at any level. Following the Diploma, students have the option to apply for Graduate Certificate in English as an Additional Language.
