Moodle Automatic Enrollment

Dear all,

We have just automatically enrolled students into relevant courses on Unitec eLearn (Moodle) System. This automatic function runs once a day to ensure that all students and courses are automatically synchronized with Unitec's course and student management system (PeopleSoft). Students who have registered into our eLearn (Moodle) courses will automatically be assigned accounts and be enrolled unless their teachers have special arrangements.

New students automatically enrolled into this system can login by using their normal Unitec network login user names and date of birth as temporally passwords in the format of "ddmmyyyy".

Most of the students who have already had accounts on it and have successfully signed into this system will not feel any change but will be enrolled into each relevant courses automatically. Some of the students may have received an email notifying that their user name has been changed due to the conflict with Unitec's standard student user name.

Student self-enrollment and teacher manually enroll students functions will be disabled on 27/02/2010. If any teacher has special enrollment request, please send email to Tabitha Roder or me as what we are doing on Blackboard.

All staff accounts are kept unchanged. If they officially enrolled into courses as students, separate student accounts are required.

Please let us know if you have any concern or inquiry.

Best wishes for the new semester.
